Need Spa Cover Measuring Help?

Measure the old hot tub cover if:

Cover hasn't warped or distorted since purchase
You like the way the cover fits

Measure the spa shell if:

Spa cover is missing
Cover is warped, sagging, or is distorted
You're unsatisfied with the way the cover fits

Measuring cover skirt:

Measure length down from old cover's seam (as shown)
Alternatively, measure exposed spa shell lip plus about ½" more
All straps extend about 4” below selected skirt length

Pro Tips:

Measure to the outer edge (widest point) of the spa shell or old cover
Extending & reading a tape measure is much easier with a helper
New locking latches are included with every DuraTherm spa cover, since manufacturer placement varies

If You Have a Square/Rectangle Spa:

Center hinge always cuts "A" dimension in half - round UP to the nearest whole inch
Measure corner radius using carpenter square on the old cover or at the widest part of the actual spa shell corner rim
Where the corner curve touches the graduation marks of the square is the C Radius inches (as shown)
Round radius number DOWN to the nearest whole inch - a smaller number will always fit over a larger curve
Select a 0” radius for squared corner covers

If You Have a Round Spa:

Outside diameter is roundedUP to the nearest whole inch
This shape is for perfect circle hot tubs only - not oblong or oval

If You Have an 8-Sided Spa:

Some are equal octagons - all sides have equal dimensions
Others have 4 cut corners - the cuts are shorter than the sides
If corners are slightly rounded, measure from the center of the curve
Your measurements help us create a precision CAD drawing for your approval

Lasted Only 3 Years :(

Very disappointed with the longevity of this cover. Purchased the standard duty cover (Mid-Grade) and added the double wrap core vapor barrier option. After 2 years water started somehow getting inside one side of the cover, and it turns out the water was inside the vapor barrier. I cut a hole in the barrier so that the water (approx 1/2 gallon) would drain out into the hot tub while holding the lid up. I had to do this every few weeks. Needless to say eventually the core became waterlogged. It’s now so heavy I’m not comfortable using the cover lifter for fear it will fail and damage the sides of the hot tub that it’s mounted on. An additional issue with the cover is both handles for lifting the cover have failed and broken free from the stitching.

I feel for the price that I paid for this cover, and having the added double layer of barrier protection added that the cover fell far short of how long it should last. This is the second cover I have ordered from spa depot, and the first cover lasted much longer. I now need to order a new cover, but am hesitant to order one again from spa depot for fear I will have a repeat experience in 3 more years. I need to do some shopping around and decide. I will say it was a very nice cover for the first 2 years, but in the third year it all went downhill from there.

Weather shield much nicer looking material

And besides that it was so much lighter. In fact our old one was probably heavier than this when it was brand new. So overall we are very happy to be able to lift it easier. This is our second cover the old one lasted about 5 maybe 6 years. But this is the first one with this weather shield.
