The movie studio A24 is such a breathe of fresh air! In a modern film industry filled with prequels, sequels remakes and reboots it's so refreshing to have a movie studio put out high quality, creative, artsy and original movies. There is nothing wrong with prequels, sequels, remakes and reboots perse but they have oversaturated the film industry especially over the last decade or so. I'm a HUGE movie lover/fanatic and aspiring actress. I hope to work with A24 in the near future on multiple projects. They are in my top three favorite movie studios of all time. What are your top five favorite A24 movies and why? Are you plan on watching Maxxxine this July?

I agree, one of the best movie production companies we have in today’s time. I’ve only seen Pearl, X, and The Lighthouse. I am going to be watching the upcoming film for Maxxxine. I’m excited to see where Ti West is going to take that character. And I love Mia Goth as an actress.

Same here she is a big inspiration of mine's and one of the better actress working today.

A24, Neon, Vertical, Blumhouse and other independent production/distribution companies are doin the damn thing investing in these titles that major companies refuse to fund.
I loved Civil War (the last A24 title I watched) and am excited for Sing Sing, which I'm planning to watch with mi mom

I haven't heard of A24 but I am going to check out their stuff. I am all over Blumhouse though. I love the horror genre.

Why does nobody know the difference between breath and breathe? I've been seeing this a lot lately on the internet.

A24 is really good. Their movies 99% of the time hit the right spot. I’m still wondering what made them sign on Trisha Paytas though.

I love A24 and Bloomhouse. The last few movies I watched that were by A24 were hyped up and I thought they were just ok. They performed really well in theartwra I heard. In general, I look for A24 movies before anything else.

I love Midsommar, X, Hereditary. Think I’ll watch Maxxxine. I think they also have that movie with Brandy coming out. Also Heretic.

I didn’t like The Witch. I’ll rewatch it again and see what it’s all about. I didn’t like talk to me either.

Admittedly, I didn’t like The VVitch the first time I watched it. I watched it again after reading commentary on the symbolism and the plot on wikipedia and now I enjoy it. I think I’m fond of Talk to Me bc of the horror fam watch party. We had a time that night lol

I’m rewatching the VVitch now. I had to watch Midsommar a few times to fully get it. This may be the same.

They are! I appreciate them a lot as a film lover. I appreciate their willingness to take chances. We need more of that especially since Hollywood is in remake hell right now.

A24 and Searchlight make great indie movies.
But A24 has stinkers too imo. Priscilla was BORING AF, and I want to punch whoever made that Dicks Musical movie. And I forgot the name but that movie with Julianne Moore and Finn Wolfhard? A waste of time!
I don't really care about the X trilogy but I'm excited for Sing Sing with Colman Domingo which comes in a few weeks. Colman doesn't play.
Also, this thread reminded me that I need to rewatch I Saw the TV Glow now that it's online. I saw it at my local indie theater and it's a pretty weird movie and not for everyone but I liked it and I feel like it needs a rewatch.
